Gonzalez Family LOVE | Las Vegas Family Portrait Photographer | Urban Vision Studios

This lil’ dollface is 11 months old. She is 11 months old, going on 2 and a half. She’s a tough little one- and totally enthralled with exploring the world around her! She could squirm herself out of Chuck Norris’s arms if she wanted.  Not walking yet, but who needs to walk if you can get wherever you want on all fours SUPER FAST. I’m not talkin’ on the knees like the baby-crawlers… full feet and hands! :) She is goin’ places someday, trust me! Needless to say, we had our hands full. We got a workout during this family session.

Stacey and Eric, you two have a precious little sweetie pie- “sugar and spice and everything nice”. My husband can’t get over how cute her little face is. Thanks for your patience with me today, and for putting up with me getting your names mixed up more than once! <3

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Announcing 2010 CHRISTMAS Mini-Sessions!

Family Love | Las Vegas Family Portraits | Urban Vision Studios

I never know what to expect when I’m headed to a family session. Often times, I’ve never met the family members- usually only mom. It’s fun to see the variety- how parents do their parenting, how siblings get along with each other – or don’t, etc.  Sometimes special bonds between family members are very evident. The family from this session was a beautiful family. All of them were loving and respectful toward one another, but the bond between the sisters shined for me.

The oldest sister leaves for college next week. She says she’s excited, but that there are some things she’s really going to miss. Two of those “things” are under 4 feet tall and look like her, but smaller.

Here is a peek at some of my favorites from our session. : )

A year has flown by. Like LIGHTNING.

Dante was just a baby in an urn… one of my first newborn sessions- now he’s ONE! One and a few months to be exact.

Z Family Fun | Las Vegas Family Portraits | Urban Vision Studios

I LOVE FUN CREATIVE FAMILIES. The Z family called and asked if we could do family portraits with guitars and railroad tracks for their family of 6. AYKM?! Heck yes we can! I don’t think there’s any better way to spend a Friday evening!

The more we texted and talked back and forth, the more I realized that this group was REALLY COOL and we were gonna have lots of fun together! Well we did. And here’s a taste of it.

Meet Pete, Mandi, Kaylee, Sydnee, Josh, and little Ethan.

Townsend Love | Family Portraits | Las Vegas Photographer

The Townsends are a BEAUTIFUL family. I loved hanging out with these parents with their two kids. Kohen, 4 years old is super smart and SO well-behaved. Ella, 2 months old, was as sweet as could be. She was a trooper… didn’t even cry even though it was cold and windy.

Townsends, Thanks for having me come to California to get your family shots. :) I really enjoyed my time with you and your sweet little ones. Here are a few of my favorites:

Sweet Pea Ava | Las Vegas Family Photographer | Baby Portraits

Could she be any cuter?

Ava is such a doll… just over 8 months old and already her 4th photo session with me- that is if you count the one when she was in her mama’s belly. ; ) This session was fun, because we went back to the place where we did mommy and daddy’s maternity session.

She is starting to really get around and is interested in putting EVERYTHING into her mouth. She got to taste flowers and rocks, alike, today.

D&C, thanks for letting me capture Ava’s beauty…. <3

much love.

Jake, Danielle, Jaidyn, and Steele. {family love}

Okay, this is a fun one. :)

Remember the newborn baby asleep on the Harley? If you haven’t seen that you GOTTA take a peek HERE. Well he’s growin’ up fast! He’s already 6 months old! Wowsers. Well this time, he brought his family along for some family portraits. I have to say that Steel and his big sister Jaidyn are possibly the most well behaved small children that I have photographed thus far. LOVE THAT. And OH SO CUTE.  And together, the 4 of them…. wow- what an adorable family.

Have a peek!

Stacie, Christian and Emily. {family love}

Oh how I love this family. And when I say love, this time, I don’t just mean a casual love… I mean a “loving” love. : )

This is my sister-in-law and my niece and nephew. When Stacie and the kids come to visit I get to be called “Auntie”. I LOVE THAT! It has become a post-Christmas treat for Stace and the kids to come and visit us each year. Something that my kids and her kids (and the grown-ups, too) really look forward to. Sometimes we go to snow, sometimes we go share tapas at FireFly (hopefully a new tradition!) and we ALWAYS play at least one board game. Even though it isn’t luxury at the Halvie house- due to lack of beds and shortage of laundered bath towels- we ALWAYS have a blast.

Stacie, you are such a good mommy. I really enjoy watching you be “in charge” while you manage to keep a great friendship with both of your kids. It is awesome. Thanks for coming to visit this year, guys. We love you!!!!!

side note: it is very possible that my photography business could someday have a foothold in the Sacramento, CA area… In approximately 5 years, when the kids are done with school, Scott and I may be relocating to California to live near family. So… Stacie’s Friends: REMEMBER ME. : D

Family Love at Christmas-time!

I LOVE PEOPLE and I LOVE ART. I think that is why I love being a portrait photographer. I get to meet GREAT PEOPLE and make ART for them. What could be better? I am thankful every day for having been blessed with a job that I love.

Here is a beautiful family… it was so fun to see the interaction between generations. The grandparents adoring their grandchildren. The grown siblings teasing each other and playing, the way that “grown-ups” who love each other dearly do, and this same middle generation loving and appreciating their own parents, now that they are grown.

Thanks for bearing the FREEZING COLD and for helping make my job fun, guys. Merry Christmas.
