Chelsee and I endured the cold air to get her senior portraits done this Winter Break. She said “I had better get used to being in the cold weather because very soon I will be where it is MUCH COLDER”.  That’s right, Chelsee plans to attend a University just outside of Boston to pursue a career in film. I think that is AWESOME. I am confident that she will be successful in this field and I look forward to seeing her work.

Chels, I had a lot of fun running around downtown Las Vegas with you. Thanks for being all game for venturing into some off-the-beaten-path parts to get some fun shots. I hope you love your senior photo “sneak peek”. I will have your entire gallery finished soon!

Ashley+Allan= L.O.V.E.

Allan is home for a short time from college and we were able to squeeze in engagement photos! I’m sure it must be SO hard for them to apart while he is in school- but SO worth it. ; ) It’s not an easy thing to do… be away from the one you love.

Ashley and Allan, thanks for spending some of your precious time together, hanging out with me to capture this important time in your lives together (it wasn’t cold, right?! ; )). Remember to enjoy every moment with each other over this Winter Break. Here is your sneak peek.

L-O-V-E the bubbles!!!

What a sweet couple. I arrived at the location to shoot this session and I didn’t see my clients. I was beginning to worry, as the sun began to drop lower into the sky. Waiting… waiting… I didn’t think we were going to get the session in. I decided to walk around a bit and I noticed a cute young couple sweetly hugging to keep warm over by the reeds and the water. I admired their affection for one another. Then it clicked! These cuties were MY CLIENTS! hahaha. Silly me. So we started. Photo number 1 is literally 20 seconds after I spotted them. ; )

I LOVE PEOPLE and I LOVE ART. I think that is why I love being a portrait photographer. I get to meet GREAT PEOPLE and make ART for them. What could be better? I am thankful every day for having been blessed with a job that I love.

Here is a beautiful family… it was so fun to see the interaction between generations. The grandparents adoring their grandchildren. The grown siblings teasing each other and playing, the way that “grown-ups” who love each other dearly do, and this same middle generation loving and appreciating their own parents, now that they are grown.

Thanks for bearing the FREEZING COLD and for helping make my job fun, guys. Merry Christmas.

Tom and Heliz are soon to have baby boy… (coming to the blog soon!)

Just next month this beautiful couple will become a beautiful family of three. Heliz looks absolutely great! She still sports her cute brazilian style, even while 8 months pregnant! She is absolutely adorable, and Tom adores her. They are both so excited about their soon-to-come baby boy.

Tom and Heliz- we had fun! Look… in the pictures you can’t even tell that we were all FROZEN!! Nice job. ; )

Sarah Lane and I go back almost as far as my memory does! We actually went to elementary school together- Good ol’ Alta Heights Elementary : ) She is an AMAZINGLY talented woman. She is a portrait photographer in Northern California and has been a HUGE inspiration to me.  Here is her website and I encourage you to have a look.

I had a chance to do a family session with her beautiful family. She’s got a super-hot guy and two adorable kids who have SKILLS when it comes to being in front of the camera. Their family is simply perfect. We had a lot of fun- we managed to get kicked out of an AWESOME location… lol. We agree that when it comes to trespassing, as photographers, it’s better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission.<3

Very soon, Jen and Travis will have their first baby girl. We all can’t wait to meet Stella.

Only a month to go! I think December will fly by for everyone I know….  except for Jen.

In just a few short weeks this will be mommy and daddy to a lucky baby girl. I am so excited for them. Having a family is my greatest blessing. It is a life-changing experience that I am grateful for everyday.

The Singer family…. Look at this beautiful family.  Boy do they have their hands full! Two kids under 2! wow.

The sweet little 22 month old baby girl is as free-spirited as they get. She was LOVIN’ the park! It was super cute… she ran full-speed chasing peacocks with NO FEAR.  And their lil baby boy- he looked right into my camera almost the entire session. That is not usually the case with the wee ones.  It was G-R-E-A-T!

I absolutely love the fall colors we were able to catch. The window of time when the oranges and yellows are present goes so quickly… and we had such beautiful light.

What a darling little family. This mama and daddy are such cute parents… the way they talk and interact with their boys was fun for me to watch. You can tell that they are putting their hearts and souls into raising their boys. And those boys… couldn’t be any cuter!
