This lil’ dollface is 11 months old. She is 11 months old, going on 2 and a half. She’s a tough little one- and totally enthralled with exploring the world around her! She could squirm herself out of Chuck Norris’s arms if she wanted.  Not walking yet, but who needs to walk if you can get wherever you want on all fours SUPER FAST. I’m not talkin’ on the knees like the baby-crawlers… full feet and hands! She is goin’ places someday, trust me! Needless to say, we had our hands full. We got a workout during this family session.

Stacey and Eric, you two have a precious little sweetie pie- “sugar and spice and everything nice”. My husband can’t get over how cute her little face is. Thanks for your patience with me today, and for putting up with me getting your names mixed up more than once! <3

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Little Roman Thomas is absolutely precious. He’s a lucky little guy- he’s got a great name, young fun-loving parents, and super-great looks. I can’t wait to watch him grow.

There will be more to come of this little guy, because Daddy was unable to make it to the photo session, and I’ve got some ideas for them!

Little Tiago is 7 months old. His 7 month birthday was actually on the day of this session.

What a HAPPY baby boy. The entire 2 hour session, he never cried or even pouted ONE TIME. It was incredible! Mama said that he might get a little cranky because it was near bedtime, but not a single complaint from him. : )

It is fun for me to see this family grow. I remember when we did maternity photos, they were as NERVOUS about being parents as they get. When Tiago was a newborn, and we shot photos when he was 5 days old – they were careful to make sure they were doing everything just right. Now, they got this parenting thing down! ; ) They are just simply ADORABLE with their son. I can really tell that they appreciate this special time in their lives.

Here is a look into their session.

Ava is my top-model. This is now her 5th photo session with me (if you count the one where she was in the womb ; )) She just gets CUTER EVERY TIME!!!!  This time… she didn’t really want to look at the camera too much. As you can tell in the photos, she was BUSY! It is my personal opinion, however, that more often than not, my favorite shots are of kids not looking into the camera lens. They are more real-life captures.

Jacob Hoyt.  Born July 12. 8lbs, 9 oz and 20 inches long. In these photos, Jacob has only had 7 days on this earth.

This little guy has the greatest baby-lips I have ever seen. I just wanna eat ‘em up.  He was a SUPER sleeper ; ). These baby sessions are sometimes a struggle- but NOT THIS TIME. He was just peaceful and content the entire time. What a precious little guy. Maybe that means he’s going to be easy going?

A year has flown by. Like LIGHTNING.

Dante was just a baby in an urn… one of my first newborn sessions- now he’s ONE! One and a few months to be exact.

Maeghan Lillian. Isn’t that an beautiful name?! I think it suits her just right, too. Maeghan was born on June 23, weighing 7 lbs and 18 inches long.  She was the perfect tiny baby-size for my props.

Maeghan is a sweet, soft, cuddly, cutie-pie who is super content to be in mama’s arms. Lucky for mama, she is a GREAT sleeper- sometimes sleeping 5 or 6 hours at a time. I have found myself smiling at her sweet face while I edit her photos.

Baby Seamus (shay’-mus) ….

Let me tell you, there’s was no shortage of love in that backyard yesterday. Two sets of grandparents, and some happy new parents- Seamus has got the life! His daddy created this INCREDIBLE yard for his family to enjoy- and they DO. Complete with hammock, koi pond (with water lilies!!!), beautiful black bottom rock surrounded pool, putting green, fire pit, and flowers galore. “All for Seamus to enjoy”, as he put it. Beautiful.

This lil’ guys mama is an artist. She creates GORGEOUS acrylic paintings, with nature as her subject, and generously gives a portion of her profits to Nature Conservation Charities. Check it out her work:  http://www.bkelso.com/

Here’s the sneak peek!

Jayden Kinoa is 8 days old today. His tiny body is absolutely perfect. From his little pouty lips to his sweet baby-haired shoulders to his itty bitty toes. He was born at 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long.

Today has been an oh-so-bittersweet day for me.  For some reason, spending time with this sweet and tiny baby boy really got the best of me. I enjoyed every minute… but it touched some tender parts of my heart. You see, his mama is a young mommy like I was almost 18 years ago, when I had my daughter, Rhea. For some reason, I got all emotional while editing these photos and did most of it through tear-filled eyes.

Adrianne, cherish every moment with Jayden. Make effort to make strong memories. You will blink and his childhood will be over if you aren’t careful.

Sometimes, during my sessions,  I have to pinch myself. I am still utterly amazed at the fact that I get to make a living doing something that I enjoy so wholeheartedly. I get to meet wonderful people, and together we create a tangible reminder of their love that they can cherish forever. IT MAKES ME HAPPY. Tonight, I got to meet a very special family. The happy, loving, energy that exudes this family is warm and contagious.

In my next life, I want twins. The only thing sweeter and cuter than a 1 year old, is TWO one year olds. This ADORABLE set of twins couldn’t be any more charming. They are adventurous, tough, happy, and super-dang-cute packages of fun. They sure keep mom and dad on their toes…. at one point, during the photo session, the three of us looked at each other, all of us panting out of breath and shook our heads- it was exhausting!
