This lil’ dollface is 11 months old. She is 11 months old, going on 2 and a half. She’s a tough little one- and totally enthralled with exploring the world around her! She could squirm herself out of Chuck Norris’s arms if she wanted.  Not walking yet, but who needs to walk if you can get wherever you want on all fours SUPER FAST. I’m not talkin’ on the knees like the baby-crawlers… full feet and hands! She is goin’ places someday, trust me! Needless to say, we had our hands full. We got a workout during this family session.

Stacey and Eric, you two have a precious little sweetie pie- “sugar and spice and everything nice”. My husband can’t get over how cute her little face is. Thanks for your patience with me today, and for putting up with me getting your names mixed up more than once! <3

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Cassie is a senior at Bonanza High this year. Our family has known Cassie since she was about 12 or 13 years old. She has ALWAYS been a sweetheart. A little on the shy side- in an adorably charming way. Her absolutely AMAZING skin and her stellar smile are an incredible combo.

Cassie, make the most of this last year of high school. : ) Remember the moments… it’s going to go by so fast!

Here are a few of my favorites.

Little Roman Thomas is absolutely precious. He’s a lucky little guy- he’s got a great name, young fun-loving parents, and super-great looks. I can’t wait to watch him grow.

There will be more to come of this little guy, because Daddy was unable to make it to the photo session, and I’ve got some ideas for them!

Tina and Michael are engaged! Woot! Woot!

Man oh man, do I love engagement sessions. Sometimes I think about shooting weddings just so that I can shoot more engagement sessions! This couple is gorgeous- and not shy in front of the camera. I love that. I LOVE it when couples can be themselves so easily even when I point my lens toward them. I guess lovin’ on each other comes easily to them. They rocked their session and I’ve got proof! As a matter of fact- lots of proof. I had a hard time narrowing it down for my blog post so this is a bit of a long one. I don’t think they’ll mind. ; )

Tina and Michael- Best wishes to you both. I had a SUPER fun time with you guys yesterday. There is no doubt of your love for one another. <3

I never know what to expect when I’m headed to a family session. Often times, I’ve never met the family members- usually only mom. It’s fun to see the variety- how parents do their parenting, how siblings get along with each other – or don’t, etc.  Sometimes special bonds between family members are very evident. The family from this session was a beautiful family. All of them were loving and respectful toward one another, but the bond between the sisters shined for me.

The oldest sister leaves for college next week. She says she’s excited, but that there are some things she’s really going to miss. Two of those “things” are under 4 feet tall and look like her, but smaller.

Little Tiago is 7 months old. His 7 month birthday was actually on the day of this session.

What a HAPPY baby boy. The entire 2 hour session, he never cried or even pouted ONE TIME. It was incredible! Mama said that he might get a little cranky because it was near bedtime, but not a single complaint from him. : )

It is fun for me to see this family grow. I remember when we did maternity photos, they were as NERVOUS about being parents as they get. When Tiago was a newborn, and we shot photos when he was 5 days old – they were careful to make sure they were doing everything just right. Now, they got this parenting thing down! ; ) They are just simply ADORABLE with their son. I can really tell that they appreciate this special time in their lives.

This adorable brother-sister combo couldn’t be any cuter! Mama had them dressed in THE CUTEST coordinating outfits- I was really impressed with the way she put things together. Both kids are smart, adventurous and well-behaved, too! It was a hot day, and we walked a long way, and they were both TROOPERS.

Boy did we wear ourselves out by the end. I slept very well last night! We got some great shots.

I had the sheer pleasure of shooting Jillian’s senior photos yesterday. She is an ultra-sweetheart AND she’s gorgeous!! We had quite a bit of wind to contend with, but we were blessed with some b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l light.

My daughter has been friends with Jillian since the 3rd grade. Jillian had an incredible knack for fashion even back then at 11 years old. Truth be told, the running joke (or fact– I’m still not sure) among her peers was that during each school year, Jillian NEVER wore the same outfit twice. ; ) How’s that for a challenge?!

Well her fashion sense didn’t disappoint for her senior photos. She did a beautiful job and we got some great shots. Here are a few… have a look. : )

this first shot is my FAV!!

Ava is my top-model. This is now her 5th photo session with me (if you count the one where she was in the womb ; )) She just gets CUTER EVERY TIME!!!!  This time… she didn’t really want to look at the camera too much. As you can tell in the photos, she was BUSY! It is my personal opinion, however, that more often than not, my favorite shots are of kids not looking into the camera lens. They are more real-life captures.

A year has flown by. Like LIGHTNING.

Dante was just a baby in an urn… one of my first newborn sessions- now he’s ONE! One and a few months to be exact.
