Jacob Hoyt. Born July 12. 8lbs, 9 oz and 20 inches long. In these photos, Jacob has only had 7 days on this earth.
This little guy has the greatest baby-lips I have ever seen. I just wanna eat ‘em up. He was a SUPER sleeper ; ). These baby sessions are sometimes a struggle- but NOT THIS TIME. He was just peaceful and content the entire time. What a precious little guy. Maybe that means he’s going to be easy going?
Here are a few favs from our session.
We all have those “forever-friends”. I don’t just mean that like a cliche… I mean the friends that you may go months without catching up with or years without being able to see- but when it happens, it seems like you never missed a beat. Lea is a friend like that. We will be friends forever. I cherish the time we get to spend together- usually only once a year.
While our times together usually consist of great dining (she’s a veggie too!), poolside cocktails and girl talk, this time was a little different. 
In just a few weeks she’s going to be a mama! So we talked of babies, and bellies, and parenting, swollen feet, stretch marks…. you know.
I am so excited for her and Mario. She’s going to be such a loving, adoring, attentive and dedicated mommy. I feel blessed to have been able to catch some images of this precious expectant time. Here is a peek into our session.
Kaylee Zentai… Coronado Class of 2010. What this means is, that there are only a few more weeks left of Kaylee’s high school career! Whoa. Wow. Just like that- it’s all of a sudden over! Crazy and exciting! Time to write the next chapter of the “Kaylee’s life book” .
In an nutshell, Kaylee is adorable. A few words to describe her- spunky, confident, fun, hip, enthusiastic, friendly.

Alyssa is 4 months old. And boy, what a cutie-patutie! She has THE CUTEST outfits I have ever seen- including a polka dot bikini!!! Mama put her in it for her session… A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. Photographing a baby in a bikini- a first for me.

Welcome to the world sweet wittle guy.
Lucas was born on January 21, 2010 and that was 8 weeks early. For those of you not-so-quick at math, he is 7 weeks old today, but really wouldn’t have been born for another week if he had gone his full time in mama’s womb. The miracle of life is incredible. He weighed only 3 lbs 9 oz at birth and had to stay in the NICU for 4 weeks. Amazingly, today he is a strong, healthy, beautiful baby, weighing 7 lbs 13 oz.
Jarad and Jeannine, he is absolutely precious. I think about the complications you had and the roller coaster ride that you must have gone through and it brings tears to my eyes to know how strong and healthy and perfect he is. I know you are grateful every day. <3

Okay, this is a fun one.
Remember the newborn baby asleep on the Harley? If you haven’t seen that you GOTTA take a peek HERE. Well he’s growin’ up fast! He’s already 6 months old! Wowsers. Well this time, he brought his family along for some family portraits. I have to say that Steel and his big sister Jaidyn are possibly the most well behaved small children that I have photographed thus far. LOVE THAT. And OH SO CUTE. And together, the 4 of them…. wow- what an adorable family.

Very soon, Jen and Travis will have their first baby girl. We all can’t wait to meet Stella.
Only a month to go! I think December will fly by for everyone I know…. except for Jen.
In just a few short weeks this will be mommy and daddy to a lucky baby girl. I am so excited for them. Having a family is my greatest blessing. It is a life-changing experience that I am grateful for everyday.
I’m going to have a new nephew soon! From the looks of it…. REALLY soon ; )
My only brother Jake, and his beautiful wife are going to have their first born baby in the next couple of weeks. They already know it is a boy, but haven’t given us the name yet. All of us in the family have made jokes about the fact that they haven’t decided on a name yet, and we have been calling him names such as: Nebukunezar, Kennisaw Mountain, Bartholomew, among many other names. They are good sports about our teasing. ; )
Laura and Jake have posted snapshots of Laura’s belly on facebook a few times, and when I saw the last ones I was afraid I might not make it there before she had the baby! Luckily, we made it. My dad and I took a quick trip to Santa Barbara to get some shots of them “waiting for baby”. Here is some of the sweetness…
Chelsea’s mom had these photos done just for fun. I think it was a good idea, because there is only a little bit of “little girl” left in Chelsea. It won’t be long and she will be graduating from High School… off to college… becoming a nurse… getting married… and then having babies of her own. Yes, it will go by in the blink of an eye– but for now, Chelsea still has a little bit of “little girl”.
Chels, thanks for being such a sport during your session. I enjoyed every minute of you and that adorable personality.
Man o man o man do I feel lucky to have such a bunch of BEAUTIFUL pregnant women to photograph lately. It is incredible! What’s even cooler is…. that they create beautiful babies, too! And guess who gets to photograph them!? Woooo hoooo!!!!!
Drew, Natalie and I had a lot of fun shooting their maternity session. We laughed A LOT. They are uber-adorable together and I am sure that they are going to make outstanding parents. I Can’t wait to meet baby Lola.
