I had the sheer pleasure of shooting Jillian’s senior photos yesterday. She is an ultra-sweetheart AND she’s gorgeous!! We had quite a bit of wind to contend with, but we were blessed with some b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l light.
My daughter has been friends with Jillian since the 3rd grade. Jillian had an incredible knack for fashion even back then at 11 years old. Truth be told, the running joke (or fact– I’m still not sure) among her peers was that during each school year, Jillian NEVER wore the same outfit twice. ; ) How’s that for a challenge?!
Well her fashion sense didn’t disappoint for her senior photos. She did a beautiful job and we got some great shots. Here are a few… have a look. : )

Kaylee Zentai… Coronado Class of 2010. What this means is, that there are only a few more weeks left of Kaylee’s high school career! Whoa. Wow. Just like that- it’s all of a sudden over! Crazy and exciting! Time to write the next chapter of the “Kaylee’s life book” .
In an nutshell, Kaylee is adorable. A few words to describe her- spunky, confident, fun, hip, enthusiastic, friendly.

Jessica is a senior at Shadow Ridge. Jessica and her mom wanted something different than your typical senior portraits, so they called me. : ) Jessica is SUPER busy with her soccer team with practice every week day and tournaments just about every weekend so we had to get her session in even though our scheduled day turned out to be a rainy, windy day! Jessica is quite possibly one of the most photogenic seniors I have ever shot. She was SO incredibly easy to work with. I would ask her to do something and BOOM she struck the pose just right.

Marissa contacted me to do her head shots for the Miss Teen Nevada USA competition that happens this November. This competition has been a long time coming, as she has been actively preparing for it for a year and a half! Marissa began competing in beauty pageants since she was just a tiny little girl. She says her mom entered her in her first one when she was about 4 years old and it just stuck! Walls of trophies and crowns later, here she is. You can visit her website HERE. We did head shots (saving those for another post), and we decided that we should do some stuff that was more fun. She suggested a carnival and I thought that was a great idea.
Note: Marissa is a budding clothing designer, too. She even sews the designs she creates, when she can find the time! The pink and black dress is one of her designs.
Numerous times, at our shooting location, people of all walks approached Marissa wanting to have their picture taken with her. Even though we were pressed for time, racing the sunset, she was gracious and kind and welcomed their requests with a smile. I thought that was super sweet.
