Family LOVE | las vegas family portraits | urban vision studios

Photographing families with multiple kids used to really scare me. Posing one person is difficult enough, but posing lots of people was so super intimidating.  I’m not sure how I got over it, but now I see it as a challenge that I actually have a lot of fun with! Admittedly, it is still quite tough to get 4 kids under the age of 10 to look toward me with a genuine (and not super goofball expression) but when we are successful it is all worth it! Seeing their mama get to see an image of the ones she loves so much, all together, is super rewarding to me.

These 4 kids are ALL SUPER CUTE and working with them was really fun. I like how just enough of their little personalities show through in their expressions and the way they made the poses their own. A great session, for sure!

Love this little family! When they said they were up for an urban session I did a cartwheel. Then… when we got to the spot, and I saw how fantastic the mama had styled the family, and how well it coordinated with the spot where I wanted to shoot, I had to refrain from the urge to do another one. We ALMOST had to reschedule our shoot, as it was POURING just a couple hours before- but we went for it and I think the stormy weather was an added bonus for our setting. I couldn’t be happier with these and I know I put too many in this blog post, but I had a hard time deciding! Here are my favorites. <3

Dana, thank you for continually choosing to see the BEST in my little family. So blessed to have FOUR years worth of life BEAUTIFULLY preserved in photos. You’re an amazing photographer and an amazing friend! xo

Family Fun | las vegas photographer | urban vision studios

Loved this family. They had me LAUGHING the whole time. They’re super cute, the way they tease each other and laugh together. I just loved it. I remember growing up, my dad lovingly gave us kids a hard time often, which I thought was great. Sometimes others didn’t get it and thought that you should never use sarcasm with kids- but I remember feeling like those people that felt that way were missing out. Life is a lot more fun when you have a sense of humor- and these guys aren’t short on the laughs.

I’m so glad we got to meet them- and spend a little time getting some great shots of their beautiful family. <3 Here are the faves.

Class of 2014 | Las Vegas Senior Portraits | urban vision studios

I’m so glad that Sadie wanted to shoot an urban session! It’s been a little while since I’ve shot an urban senior session, and it’s SUPER fun. I never know what we will find when we head to the downtown Vegas scene- but we can always count on great colors and textures and PLENTY to work with. Sadie ROCKED her session. She’s such a pretty girl, and this edgy scene worked perfect for her! Her eyes are seriously amazing. Here are my favorites!
